The CNA Float Scheduler is responsible for maintaining schedules in a staffing/scheduling program, generating reports, and preparing staffing information for shifts. This role involves assigning staff with review by a Manager or RN House Coordinator, deploying fiscally responsible staffing, and informing nursing units of assigned staff. The scheduler also completes shift report sheets and daily scheduling sheets, facilitates the placement of orients, and assists with staff education. Basic computer skills for data entry and proficiency with electronic patient documentation are required. The role also involves professional phone etiquette, floating to various units based on patient care needs, transporting patients within the facility as directed, and participating in department or unit performance improvement activities.
