About The Position

The VCC Full-time Float Pool is a staffing plan and program created to provide flexibility with the staffing assignment schedule throughout the Village Care Center. Associates working exclusively in the Pool are classified as full-time and required to work a minimum number of hours. Guidelines regarding the VCC Full-time Float Pool staffing plan include: Full-time associates are eligible for Paid Time Off (PTO), insurance benefits (health, dental, vision, etc), and the TSA plan offered by the Village. Full-time Float Pool associates must work a minimum of 30 hours per week. Within the 30 hours per week (60 hours per pay period), they must work at least one (1) weekend shift (weekend shift is defined as beginning Friday at 7:00a and ending at 7:00a on Monday). Additionally, Float Pool associates will be scheduled to work at least three (3) of the six (6) holidays, as defined by JKV Associate Policy #327, per calendar year. The holiday schedule will be assigned by the Staffing Office. Additional hours are usually available upon request. Full-time Float Pool associates must provide the Staffing Office a calendar of preferred work shifts (hours/days) for the upcoming month by the 1st day of that month. Shift times available are 7a-7p or 7p-7a. It will be up to Staffing to manage a Full-time Float Pool associate’s hours as they deem appropriate, keeping to the 30 hour minimum requirement. Full-time Float Pool associates must work where assigned throughout the care center. Full-time Float Pool associates are eligible for any applicable shift differential available to full-time associates. Failure to meet the requirements may jeopardize VCC Full-time Float Pool status and result in separation of employment. These VCC Full-time Float Pool guidelines are subject to change. Benefits and pay are subject to change based on a change in status or other relevant change.
