About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Evenings position plays a critical role in delivering compassionate and high-quality care to patients during the evening shift. Requirements

  • Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of employment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of patient care and safety procedures.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as required by the employer.
  • Physical ability to perform duties including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Patient care techniques, vital sign monitoring, and safety protocol adherence.
  • Communication skills are essential for accurately documenting patient information and collaborating with nursing staff to address patient needs promptly.
  • Physical stamina and manual dexterity are necessary to assist patients with mobility and personal care tasks safely.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working as a CNA in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
  • Provide mobility assistance, including helping patients move safely and comfortably within the facility.
  • Observe patients for any changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in patient rooms and common areas.
  • Support patients emotionally by offering companionship and responding to their needs with empathy.
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding as required during the evening shift.
  • Document all care provided and patient observations accurately in compliance with facility policies.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and effective communication.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards at all times.
