About The Position

Pikes Peak Post Acute is hiring a CNA/Driver for a part-time position. The facility takes pride in working together to provide patient-centered care to its residents and is looking to expand its team to allow for the highest level of care. The role involves joining a team of professionals committed to improving the lives of those they serve and work with.

Requirements

  • Current, unencumbered CNA license in CO
  • Minimum 25 years old to drive the vehicle
  • Valid Driver's License (DL)
  • Familiar with GPS and local driving area
  • No Traffic Crimes in the last 7 years (DUI, DWS, Reckless Driving)
  • No Traffic Felonies (Multiple DUI, or DWS, Leaving Scene with Injuries, Assault with Vehicle)
  • Not more than 2 moving violations in 3 years
  • Not more than one accident in 3 years

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care to the residents of the facility under the direction of licensed nurses.
  • Drive residents to appointments and activities.
  • Assist residents with loading and unloading from facility-approved vehicles.
  • Ensure the safe transportation of residents to scheduled medical appointments or other approved activities, resident outings, etc.
  • Maintain the interior and exterior of facility vehicles to promote a safe and comfortable transport for the residents and project a positive image in the community.
  • Monitor vehicle maintenance logs and deliver vehicle for regularly scheduled maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, etc.
  • Be flexible with work time in the event a resident appointment or activity runs late.
  • Demonstrate safe clinical based transfer techniques for ingress/egress of mobile patients with a van, transfer of patients into and out of wheelchairs, and properly securing wheelchair-bound residents into bays in vans.
  • Lift, transfer, and mobilize patient weights of up to 70 pounds by self in confined areas inside the van.
  • Make complex decisions involving a highly dependent patient base.
