Provides education, scheduling, and guidance to certified nursing assistants (CNAs) in accordance with care plans, facility policies and procedures, and at the direction of supervisor(s). This role involves monitoring, educating, and auditing CNAs to ensure job duties, charting, and care needs are met according to best practices. The CNA Coordinator also manages the scheduling of CNAs based on patient care needs and budget, provides supportive services to nursing staff, and assists residents with activities of daily living, including lifting, turning, and positioning. Additionally, the role coordinates dining services, delivers nutritional supplements, assists with resident weighing and skin condition tracking, and supports toileting programs. The CNA Coordinator is responsible for completing flow sheets, documenting resident progress, and reporting any factors that interfere with assigned work or changes in resident condition to the nurse and supervisor. The position also entails additional assigned tasks such as promoting resident rights, adhering to facility policies and regulations, maintaining confidentiality, reporting noncompliance and potential violations, and participating in emergency drills and training.
