CNA & CNA Lead - Wood River, IL
About The Position
High Point Residence Wood River is growing its care team and is currently hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) as well as a Lead CNA. The Lead CNA position is for an experienced CNA looking to take on additional leadership responsibilities and grow within the community. The Lead CNA will provide hands-on resident care while supporting the nursing team, fellow CNAs, and day-to-day operations of the shift. CNAs provide compassionate, hands-on care while supporting the safety, comfort, dignity, and overall well-being of residents. They work closely with the nursing team to provide individualized care and create a positive experience for residents and their families.
Requirements
- Current CNA certification in the state of Illinois
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication skills with residents, families, and team members
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience in long-term care, assisted living, or senior living
- Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities
- Previous leadership or mentoring experience preferred for the Lead CNA position
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal care
- Monitor and record vital signs
- Support residents with their daily routines and individualized care needs
- Provide emotional support and companionship
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable resident environment
- Communicate effectively with nursing leadership and other members of the care team
- Lead CNA: Provide additional shift leadership, support fellow CNAs, help promote accountability and teamwork, and serve as a resource for the care team
