About The Position

ChildServe’s Adolescent and Young Adult Complex Medical program provides 24-7 residential skilled nursing care in a family-focused environment. We care for adolescents and young adults who are unable to live at home due to their complex medical needs.

Requirements

  • Active DIA certification as a nursing assistant in the state of Iowa.
  • Active BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily care routines including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility while honoring each child’s privacy and dignity.
  • Follow individualized care plans and collaborate with nurses and therapists to ensure each child’s unique needs are met.
  • Help children look and feel their best by maintaining cleanliness, comfort, and readiness for scheduled activities.
  • Support families by sharing updates and reinforcing care techniques that promote each child’s progress and well-being.
  • Accurately document care provided and maintain compliance with ChildServe policies and professional standards.
