About The Position

LCB Senior Living is hiring CNA/CHHA's at The Residence at Valley Farm. This is a career that loves you back! We are looking for individuals to provide for the needs of the elders, including personal care, therapeutic programming, safety and emotional support in a manner that supports the dignity, independence, choice and individuality of each resident. The duties include delivery of services as written on the approved service plan for each Resident.

Requirements

  • Must have completed the course for certified nursing assistant or have equivalent training or experience as required by State Regulation.
  • CPR and First Aide training as mandated by the State employed.
  • Current license/certification as required by State Regulation.
  • Ability to use computer for documenting services provided.
  • Fluent in the ability to communicate in the English language, both oral and written.
  • Demonstrates computer literacy and familiarity with office software, including but not limited to word processing or demonstrate the ability to learn data input.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience providing direct care or the equivalent in training preferred.
  • Experience in caring for seniors with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of Dementia is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living to residents, visitors, co-workers and the surrounding community.
  • Represent and interact positively with potential residents, family members and professionals to grow community occupancy.
  • Assist residents with medications according to State Regulation and LCB Policies, making required record entries and appropriate notifications to the nurse.
  • Actively engage residents in meaningful interactions and experiences, providing assistance, encouragement, and restorative interventions for activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, dining, and mobility).
  • Take initiative in engaging in group and individual engagement.
  • Monitor for changes in resident needs, preferences and health status, and report/document any noticed changes to the RN or designee.
  • Assist Residents with clothing and laundry needs as per the service plan.
  • Assist Residents in going to bed at night, when necessary.
  • Assist Residents with keeping their units neat, clean and orderly.
  • Answer emergency calls and attend to Residents' needs promptly.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled on-going in-service training programs and specialized staff training programs as required.
  • Assist with escorting residents to meals and engagement as needed or directed.
  • Document scheduled and unscheduled services provided, including incidents, behaviors, and out-of-the-ordinary events, and residents' refusal of services.
  • Input information into the community computer tracking system regarding services provided to residents.
  • Conduct and facilitate programming, including therapeutic groups and individual interaction, that offer cognitive stimulation, socialization, physical activity and spiritual connection.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
