Scenic Living Communities is a continuing care retirement community in Iowa Falls, Iowa. Scenic Living Communities offers several levels of living including independent living, assisted living, short-term rehab, and long-term care. In addition to our commitment to provide quality care to our residents, we are also committed to providing a great work environment for our Team Members. Shifts: We have openings for full-time (30+ hours weekly) and part-time (up to 29 hours weekly) positions. The Certified Nurse Assistant is responsible to provide direct, hands-on care to residents in a nursing home environment to ensure residents attain or maintain the highest possible physical, mental and emotional well-being possible.

Requirements

  • The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) must have completed an approved training program and passed competency examinations in clinical skills and written knowledge in accordance with statutory requirements for Certified Nurse Assistant.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, improve and/or enhance each resident’s quality of care and quality of life
  • Assists residents with activities of daily living as outlined in the care plan
  • Completes documentation of resident care as assigned
  • Reports changes in resident’s condition immediately to the Charge Nurse
  • Attends and participates in facility meetings and in-service training programs as assigned
  • Follows and upholds policies and procedures with a special focus on safety policies and procedures while performing personal and nursing care for residents
  • Follows infection control guidelines
  • Observes residents’ rights including, but not limited to, privacy, dignity, and confidentiality, thereby helping to providing quality care and a quality life to each resident
  • Promotes positive public relations with residents, family members and guests
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by the Charge Nurse, Director of Nursing and/or the Executive Director
