About The Position
UW Medical Center-Northwest Float Pool has an outstanding opportunity for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Patient Care Technician (PCT) position. This is a 90% FTE (36 hours per week) position with a night shift and no specific schedule. The role requires one year of Acute Care Hospital Experience.
Requirements
- Current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC) with WA State (please indicate your NA-C credential number on your resume)
- High School graduation and six months experience involving direct patient care or customer service in a health care setting; OR equivalent education/experience.
- Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR card by start date
- One year of Acute Care Hospital Experience
Responsibilities
- Direct and indirect care to patients and their families under the general supervision of the Registered Nurse
- Assist patients with activities of daily living: bathing, showering, dressing, getting in and out of bed or a chair, walking, using the toilet, and eating
- Maintain a safe environment of care
- Patient transportation
- Prepare patients for surgery
- Perform non-invasive lab procedures
- Transport equipment and supplies
- Assist with treatments
- Perform various clerical tasks
- Take vital signs
