This position assists the RN with the daily care of patients, including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders, and ambulation. The role involves measuring and documenting vital signs and patient data, performing purposeful rounding, and participating in patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes. The CNA is responsible for collecting specimens, performing point-of-care testing, and completing various errands. They also assist with patient positioning, transportation, nutritional needs, and maintaining skin integrity. Additional duties may include removing IVs, providing post-mortem care, and performing bladder scans under RN direction. The role requires adherence to infection prevention policies and demonstrating knowledge of age-appropriate patient care.
