The CNA Certified Nursing Assistant will assist the RN with the daily care of patients on the Medical Surgical Orthopedic Unit. This role involves direct patient care, including bathing, hygiene, feeding, and assisting with mobility. The CNA will also be responsible for monitoring vital signs, documenting patient information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and performing purposeful rounding. They will participate in patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Additionally, the CNA will collect specimens, manage supplies, and assist with patient positioning and nutritional needs. This role requires adherence to infection prevention policies and the ability to provide age-appropriate care.
