CNA / Certified Nursing Assistant - Home Care Aide

Specific client needs include: South San Jose: female, 9am-4:30pm (7.5 hour shifts), seizure safety and home care aide; South San Jose: female, 4:30pm-12am (7.5 hour shifts), seizure safety and home care aide; East Los Gatos: female, 6am-12pm (6 hour shifts), dementia and senior care; Sunnyvale: female, 7:45am-5:15pm (9.5 hour shifts), CP Total Care (shift differential available); Sunnyvale: female, 9am-5pm (8 hour shifts), fall safety, daily life caregiving.
Requirements
- Previous caregiver experience required
- Must register as a Home Care Aide with CDSS
- 18 years old and a High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance are required
- Ability to pass a live scan background check and drug screening
- CPR certification
- TB test or chest x-ray
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable attitude
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Help with light housekeeping and laundry
- Monitor and report changes in clients’ well-being or behavior
- Follow care plans and safety protocols
- Assist with medication reminders
- Provide transportation or accompany clients to appointments as needed
- Foster independence and promote social interaction
