This is a full-time position for a CNA Certified Nursing Assistant in Cardiac Telemetry at Aurora Sinai Medical Center. The role involves assisting Registered Nurses (RNs) with the daily care of patients, including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and ambulation. Responsibilities also include measuring and documenting vital signs and patient data, accurately documenting in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), performing purposeful rounding, and assisting with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges. The CNA will ensure patient call lights are within reach and answered promptly, collect specimens, and perform point-of-care testing. They will also assist with patient nutritional needs, maintain skin integrity, and ensure special patient supplies are provided. Depending on unit requirements and under RN direction, tasks may include removing IVs, providing post-mortem care, and performing bladder scans. The role requires adherence to infection prevention policies, including hand hygiene and knowledge of sterile and aseptic procedures. The CNA must demonstrate knowledge and skills for age-appropriate patient care, understanding growth and development principles.
