This is a full-time position for a CNA Certified Nursing Assistant in Cardiac Telemetry at Aurora Sinai Medical Center. The role involves assisting Registered Nurses (RNs) with the daily care of patients, including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and ambulation. Responsibilities also include measuring and documenting vital signs and patient data, performing purposeful rounding, assisting with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, and ensuring patient call lights are within reach and answered promptly. The CNA will collect specimens, perform point-of-care testing, and complete various errands. They will also maintain nursing area stock, clean equipment, and perform patient positioning and transporting duties. Additional tasks include assisting with nutritional needs, maintaining skin integrity, providing special patient supplies, and potentially removing IVs, providing post mortem care, and performing bladder scans under RN direction. The role requires adherence to infection prevention policies, including hand hygiene and knowledge of aseptic procedures. The CNA must demonstrate knowledge and skills for age-appropriate patient care, understanding growth and development principles.
