About The Position
ComForCare Home Care is seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide safe, compassionate, and professional one-on-one in-home senior care for a client in Wheaton, Illinois. This opportunity is ideal for a CNA who is proficient with safe patient transfers, mobility assistance, personal care, and Hoyer Lift equipment and is looking to make a meaningful difference while earning a high pay rate. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, performing transfers using a Hoyer Lift, providing mobility assistance, preparing meals, offering companionship, light housekeeping, and following the client's individualized care plan. Accurate documentation and reporting of changes in the client's condition are also key responsibilities.
Requirements
- Active CNA Certification required.
- Hands-on Hoyer Lift experience required.
- Comfortable providing hands-on personal care and mobility assistance.
- Knowledge of safe transfer and fall-prevention techniques.
- Compassionate, patient, dependable, and safety-focused.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in a client's home.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Current Auto Insurance.
- Reliable transportation.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in home care, senior care, private duty care, or in-home caregiving preferred.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalized in-home senior care based on the client's individual needs.
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
- Safely perform transfers using a Hoyer Lift / mechanical lift.
- Provide mobility assistance, repositioning, and fall prevention.
- Assist with personal hygiene and incontinence care as needed.
- Prepare meals and assist with nutrition and hydration.
- Provide companionship and respectful one-on-one support.
- Assist with light housekeeping and laundry related to client care.
- Follow the client's individualized care plan and safety procedures.
- Monitor and report changes in the client's condition.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
