About The Position

The Piper, an elegant Assisted Living and Memory Care community in Kansas City, is seeking a skilled and compassionate CNA / Caregiver (Resident Assistant) to join their care team. This full-time position involves working three 12-hour shifts per week, offering full-time pay and four days off each week. The role focuses on providing hands-on care, assisting residents with daily living activities, building meaningful relationships, monitoring well-being, and supporting Memory Care residents with specialized care in a safe and welcoming environment.

Requirements

  • Active CNA certification in Kansas (required).
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one (1) year related health care experience required.
  • Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
  • Must adhere to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy.

Nice To Haves

  • Assisted Living or Memory Care experience (strongly preferred).
  • Certification in CPR and first aid (preferred or as required by state).
  • Licensed or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nursing Assistant (NA) in good standing with the state licensing or certifying agency.
  • Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems is a plus.
  • Must successfully complete required dementia training in any Community with an Ensemble Program.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care neighborhoods.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and more.
  • Build genuine, meaningful relationships with residents and their families.
  • Monitor resident well-being and promptly communicate any changes to the care team.
  • Support Memory Care residents with patience, empathy, and dementia-informed care.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
  • Provide resident care services as scheduled under the supervision of the Resident Services Director.
  • Approach all encounters with residents and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing bed linens, positioning, transfer, mobility, medicinal reminders, and incontinence care.
  • Keep proper records of care, including a resident service plan and documenting services provided.
  • Be familiar with the resident service plan and document all services provided.
  • Work closely and maintain daily communications with Resident Services associates to ensure continuity of care.
  • Promote a safe environment for residents, associates, and visitors.
  • Support the programming and operations of the neighborhood.
  • Perform additional job duties as assigned.
