Requirements

Must be 18 years or older
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Auto insurance coverage
Must be willing to travel to Cottleville, MO
Ability to work 2 weekend shifts per month
Minimum 30 hours of availability per month
At least 1 year of professional caregiving, CNA, or home care experience
Excellent communication and ability to interact with facility staff
Ability to prioritize needs of patient population based on current workload
Ability to lift and carry up to 25lbs
Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and kneel for extended periods
Ability to climb stairs and reach overhead
Comfortable working in homes with pets or smokers
Ability to use proper safety equipment (gloves, masks, etc.)
Ability to read and follow care instructions and safety guidelines

Nice To Haves

Experience with dementia or Alzheimer’s care is a plus

Responsibilities

Assisting with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
Helping with mobility and transfers
Light housekeeping, laundry, and bed linen changes
Meal preparation and assistance with eating
Medication reminders
Providing companionship and emotional support
Works with multiple clients (floor shift) throughout an independent living facility per shift
