This is a Full-time CNA position on the Cardiac Neuro unit, working 36 hours per week on day shifts. The role involves assisting Registered Nurses (RNs) with daily patient care, including hygiene, feeding, ambulation, and monitoring vital signs. The CNA will also be responsible for documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), performing purposeful rounding, and participating in patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes. Additional duties include specimen collection, specimen labeling, point-of-care testing, running errands, stocking supplies, cleaning equipment, and maintaining patient skin integrity. The position requires the ability to perform patient positioning and transporting duties, including lifting and pushing/pulling, and may involve tasks such as removing IVs, providing post-mortem care, and bladder scans under RN direction. Adherence to infection prevention policies, including hand hygiene and aseptic procedures, is crucial. The CNA must demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate for the age of the patients served, understanding principles of growth and development.
