About The Position

The Birthing Center Certified Nurse Aide is responsible for providing patient care activities including feeding, monitoring of vital signs, specimen collection, and patient transportation. This role involves utilizing and charging for equipment and supplies, acquiring necessary equipment for procedures, and explaining procedures to patients and families. The CNA also cleans equipment, meal trays, and restores rooms after patient discharge. This position is responsible to the Birthing Center Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year current hospital or nursing home Nurse Aide experience or completion of Nurse Aide Course preferred
  • Current certification through the Texas Nurse Aide Registry
  • Obtains and maintains American Academy of Pediatrics NRP within 4 months of employment
  • Obtains and maintains American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider
  • Background Check
  • Lab Work
  • Immunization Records

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year current hospital or nursing home Nurse Aide experience or completion of Nurse Aide Course
