About The Position

Oatfield Estates, located in Milwaukie, Oregon, is a locally owned and operated senior living community that aims to provide residents with excellent care, a high quality of life, and a sense of belonging, influence, and purpose. It is the first assisted living community in Oregon to earn JCAHO accreditation. As a CNA with Oatfield Estates, you will provide daily care to residents by supporting their daily activities of living. This includes hygiene assistance, providing emotional support and encouragement, monitoring and reporting changes in health and behavior, and supporting the overall needs of our residents. The role requires genuine interest in supporting residents and team members, valuing and respecting residents, consistent attendance, a reliable method of transportation, and the ability to correspond and document properly for resident charting purposes. Excellent communication skills are essential.

Requirements

18 years or older
High school diploma or equivalent
Oregon-Endorsed CNA license
Speak, read and write English fluently
Value and respect of elderly/assisted living
Have consistent attendance/reliable method of transportation
Ability to correspond and document properly in charts and portal
Excellent oral communication, reading comprehension skills, written communication
Lift up to 50 lbs.
U.S. citizen
Reside within the State of Oregon

Responsibilities

Assisting residents with ADLS
Teamwork, cooperation, training & development
Assist clients with personal care, which may include (but not limited to): Bathing/Bathroom Assistance, Morning/Evening Preparations, Morning/Evening Dress and attire
Provide emotional support and encouragement to perform necessary tasks
Monitoring and reporting changes in health, behavior, and overall needs of clients
Maintain a clean, safe and orderly environment for both residents and colleagues
