About The Position

Located in Milwaukie off Oatfield Road, this community prides itself on being different. It is a locally owned and operated, not a typical senior living facility run by a large corporation. The community is designed to provide residents with excellent care, a high quality of life, and feelings of belonging, influence, and purpose. It is the first assisted living community in Oregon to earn the JCAHO accreditation. As a CNA, you will provide daily care to residents by supporting their daily activities of living, including hygiene assistance, providing emotional support and encouragement, monitoring and reporting changes in health and behavior, and supporting the overall needs of residents. The role requires genuine interest in supporting residents and team members.

Requirements

18 years or older
High school diploma or equivalent
Oregon-Endorsed CNA license
Speak, read and write English fluently
Value and respect of elderly/assisted living
Have consistent attendance/reliable method of transportation
Ability to correspond and document properly in charts and portal
Excellent oral communication, reading comprehension skills, written communication
Lift up to 50 lbs.
U.S. citizen and reside within the State of Oregon
Reliable means of transportation/commuting to work

Experience working with seniors is a plus

Responsibilities

Assisting residents with ADLS
Teamwork, cooperation, training & development
Assist clients with personal care, which may include (but not limited to): Bathing/Bathroom Assistance, Morning/Evening Preparations, Morning/Evening Dress and attire
Provide emotional support and encouragement to perform necessary tasks
Monitoring and reporting changes in health, behavior, and overall needs of clients
Maintain a clean, safe and orderly environment for both residents and colleagues
