About The Position

The CMV Truck Driver position is expected to work as a valued member of the shipping and receiving department. This job will primarily consist of operating a box truck and only carrying product to and from Sparta plant locations while utilizing public roadways. The CMV Driver must follow our company Good Manufacturing Practices. Safely operate any machinery, tools, vehicles or equipment used. Perform user maintenance reports on before, during and after use of company vehicle. Maintain all required CMV certifications by DOT and OSHA to drive box truck. Move material and product as ordered by supervisor. Perform any other warehouse related tasks assigned by supervisor. Monitor material usage on work floor and supply production lines with raw materials and finish goods. Load trucks and secure product in accordance with customer requirements. Keep production areas supplied with raw materials. May be responsible for the cleanliness of trucks and work area. Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies. Comply with DOT and company operating standards. Always on time and courteous to our customers. Other duties as assigned by management. Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1 year truck driving experience preferred
  • Must also have good communication skills, both written and oral
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations
  • Current OSHA forklift driving certification preferred
