About The Position

DIHO Consulting USA is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Technician in Sulphur, Louisiana. The role performs field testing and monitoring of construction materials—including soils, concrete, asphalt, and piles—to verify compliance with project specifications. The technician produces detailed reports, follows company safety procedures and protocols, coordinates with dispatch and the technical team, and communicates with clients and management. The role requires an on-call schedule and willingness to work irregular hours.

Requirements

More than 2 years of experience in Construction Materials Testing.
Current ACI certification.
Dependable transportation; a truck is preferable, with an incentive program available for using it for work.
Ability to pass a DISA drug screen.
Ability to pass a background check.
Physical capability to lift heavy materials and equipment.
Ability to maintain an on-call schedule and willingness to work irregular hours.

Responsibilities

Perform concrete field tests, including slump, air content, temperature, and unit weight, and cast cylinders for compressive strength testing.
Conduct soil compaction testing using a sand cone or nuclear density gauge.
Perform Proctor, Atterberg limits, sieve analysis, and other soil classification tests as applicable.
Conduct asphalt density testing and pavement core sampling.
Monitor pile installation and document capacity, penetration, and blow counts.
Produce timely and detailed reports.
Operate a vehicle safely and follow corporate safety procedures.
Follow company procedures and protocols.
Cooperate with the technical team and share information across the organization.
Build positive relationships with clients.
Arrive at dispatched job sites on time each day.
Communicate with dispatch daily.
Communicate with onsite clients each day and relay information to management.
