About The Position

The Chemical Management Technician is accountable for representing company values, quality, and commitment, for maintaining adequate stock levels, and performing value-added functions of chemical management on the customer site or our warehouse locations. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with professional daily interaction with internal and external customers, serving various levels of the company.
  • Demonstrated excellence and commitment to a safe and hazard free workplace.
  • Must be able to actively support and wear PPE (Respirator, Face Shield, Apron, Gloves, etc.) as required.
  • Hazwoper Training (40 Hours) required.
  • DOT Training required.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Clear and accurate data entry and documentation skills
  • Strong follow-through and perseverance to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to deal tactfully, confidently, and ethically with both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to be detailed oriented and perform in-depth research, if required
  • Ability to be cross trained in multiple critical areas of the department.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is essential, alongside experience using Copilot or other AI tools to enhance productivity
  • Must be open to schedule changes and demands, to facilitate customer needs.
  • Must have and maintain own/reliable transportation and company-approved driving record
  • Second shift forklift operator

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in a closely related field, such as Inventory Management, Logistics, Chemistry, Engineering, etc. is preferred
  • Demonstrated basic knowledge and/or competency pertaining to chemical compatibility (Balancing pH levels, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain strong knowledge of company products including, but not limited to, hardware, chemicals, tooling, and electric components, services, inventory systems, quality requirements, and customer plans and specifications.
  • Monitor production floor bins and storage cabinets to determine when replenishment of stock is required.
  • Perform regular inventory inspections for shelf life/ expiration dates as required.
  • Conduct basic analysis/sampling and review of chemical compatibility to determine potential required actions to conform to customer requirements and industry regulations, as required.
  • Perform chemical additions to process tanks per written guidance from customer laboratory.
  • Ensure availability and coordinate delivery of necessary chemicals for additions to be processed.
  • Package and prepare material for shipment.
  • Utilize hand scanners to scan stocking locations on the customer site and transmit replenishment orders to company mainframe for processing.
  • Receive and verify product and documentation to ensure accuracy of inventory required for the customer specifications and site.
  • Gather, deliver, and stock: inventory storage cribs and fill bins/cabinets on the customer site accurately with required orders.
  • Level load production floor bins as necessary due to back-order conditions, as required.
  • Utilize pallet jacks, drum dolly’s, drive forklifts, and/or order picker, when trained/certified.
  • Maintain floor cleanliness, apply labels, and repair and/or replace bins, cabinets, and racks, as required.
  • Maintain communication with customer Production Floor Supervisors and Lead Persons to assist in new add part numbers, bin changes, and bin quantities.
  • Communicate part expedites, quality issues, and/or other problems to the Lead, the Customer Program Supervisor, or Customer Program Manager for root cause analysis, communication, and implementation of a resolution.
  • Actively seek and recommend process improvements to the Lead, The Customer Program Supervisor, or Customer Program Manager, to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Accommodate special requirements which may be established by the customer, including but not limited to work schedule changes, required overtime, working holidays, and weekends, as needed.
  • Conduct periodic data reviews (including but not limited to drain, clean, and refill data) to support machine maintenance as it pertains to fluids to ensure optimum performance.
  • Process machine maintenance as required by draining, cleaning, and replenishing materials as required.
  • Follow established work procedures to assure compliance with all customer site requirements in accordance with safety and security processes; in addition to alignment with Federal, State, and Local regulatory agencies including OSHA, FAR, EPA, DOT, and RCRA requirements.
  • Performing Waste Management (Where applicable by contract/site)
  • Attend regularly scheduled customer or company-sponsored meetings and/or training, as required.
  • Gas cylinder deliveries, dispensing, down packing, and liquid nitrogen dewar filling.
  • Ability to travel, as necessary, between customers’ sites.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
