About The Position

The CMM Programmer is responsible for performing quality assurance duties, utilizing advanced laboratory equipment, and programming metrology software to inspect precision parts. Operating out of our Seymour, Indiana facility, this role requires a balance of independent technical skill, multitasking abilities, and adaptability as quality management systems evolve.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn, operate, and maintain laboratory inspection equipment.
  • Proficiency using MS Office software, with an emphasis on creating and managing Excel spreadsheets.
  • Proven ability to multitask effectively and work productively in an independent environment.
  • Capacity to learn new technical tasks and adapt to systematic changes as internal quality management architectures (like the AUM system) evolve.
  • Strong ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in the English language to document technical findings accurately.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience operating, troubleshooting, and programming CMMs using Mitutoyo software (e.g., MCOSMOS).

Responsibilities

  • Set up, program, and operate CMM equipment using Mitutoyo software to perform part inspections.
  • Conduct routine and complex dimensional layout inspections of manufactured parts based on blueprints, CAD models, and engineering specifications.
  • Utilize MS Office software, specifically Excel, to track, log, analyze, and report inspection data.
  • Learn and adapt to new quality tasks, procedures, and workflows as the organization's AUM system continuously improves.
  • Operate, maintain, and help calibrate standard laboratory and metrology equipment.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while multitasking across different production priorities to support manufacturing timelines.
