About The Position

The CMM Programmer creates, edits, and runs coordinate measuring machine inspection programs using PC-DMIS, with PolyWorks experience considered a plus. The role performs dimensional inspections for production, first-article, PPAP, and engineering-change parts; analyzes and reports measurement data; and communicates out-of-tolerance results to Quality, Production, and Engineering. The programmer interprets engineering drawings and GD&T, sets up parts and fixtures, verifies alignment and datums, and maintains program revisions, backups, probe qualification, and routine CMM care. The position also supports Gauge R&R and MSA activities, manual gauge inspections and calibration records, proper handling of master and golden samples, root-cause investigations, inspection prioritization, and audits related to dimensional control. It ensures compliance with IATF 16949, AIAG MSA, Control Plans, PFMEA, ISO 14001, and applicable company safety and environmental requirements. The role promotes a safe and healthy workplace and supports continual improvement of the ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 systems. The work takes place in a loud plant environment and involves moving throughout the plant, extended sitting and standing, reaching and bending, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Personal protective equipment must be used as required. Occasional travel may be required, and additional hours may be needed.
