About The Position

This role is for a CMM Programmer/Operator in a manufacturing environment that produces tight tolerance parts. The position requires a high level of attention to detail, critical thinking, and a passion for metrology. The individual will work with a skilled team to further develop their expertise and engage in intellectual challenges. The day-to-day involves planning and conducting analysis and inspections to ensure product quality, writing CMM programs, communicating quality issues, documenting data, and demonstrating knowledge of basic gage verification and calibration.

Requirements

  • High School diploma with at least three years of experience in an industrial environment or any combination of education and experience in quality assurance, statistics, or numerical analysis
  • Motivation from problem-solving abilities and ability to complete assignments with little supervision
  • Ability to create complex CMM Programs
  • Experience in a Quality Lab Environment with efficient use of hand measuring tools, open granite set ups
  • Strong practical knowledge of GD & T
  • Ability to work with computer software and databases such as Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced, multi-functioned environment while maintaining a positive collaborative professional demeanor

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct analysis and inspections that assure the quality of product or component
  • Write supporting CMM programs
  • Communicate significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities to the team
  • Document data obtained during all quality assurance activities
  • Demonstrate knowledge of basic gage verification and gage calibration
