About The Position

The CMM Operator is responsible for performing precision dimensional inspections on aerospace castings and machined components using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and conventional inspection equipment. This role ensures products meet engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, customer specifications, and internal quality standards. The CMM Operator works closely with Quality, Engineering, and Production to maintain product conformity and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency using precision measuring instruments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proven experience using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
• Experience in blueprint interpretation and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing of metallic materials.
• Excellent understanding of data sheets.
• Proficiency in shop math and ability to solve right angle trigonometric problems.
• Proficiency in exporting data to Excel for statistical evaluation.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with CMM programming and troubleshooting.
