About The Position

Pratt & Whitney’s Springdale, Arkansas shop is seeking a CMM Operator to inspect aerospace parts in accordance with work instructions and customer specifications. The role uses Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other measuring instruments to inspect parts and calibrate test and measurement equipment. This is an onsite weekend-shift opportunity, with scheduled operations Friday through Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Overtime is available. The position is at an FAA-regulated, safety-sensitive facility. U.S. citizenship is required because only U.S. citizens may access information under the program or contract. Candidates are subject to pre-employment drug and alcohol testing and ongoing random testing under applicable FAA regulations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, such as a GED.
At least one year of relevant experience.
U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CMMs to calibrate test and measurement equipment and/or inspect customer parts.
Log and communicate inspection results and out-of-specification parts.
Review schedules and help plan, coordinate, and use resources to meet company and customer commitments.
Communicate parts status within and outside the quality department.
Assist in resolving operational, quality, and maintenance resource issues.
Report equipment maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
Notify other shifts of problems encountered and steps toward resolution.
Work with a team to complete work and solve problems.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
