About The Position

The CMM Inspector inspects machined parts, fabrications, weldments, castings, and forgings to verify that they meet specified dimensions, tolerances, and quality standards. The role uses multiple inspection methods and tools, including Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), and requires following written procedures and specifications while accurately documenting inspection results. The inspector identifies and communicates non-conformities or deviations to appropriate personnel for resolution. Pay is $25–$30 per hour depending on experience, with the possibility of higher pay for the right candidate. The position is on the first shift, Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with overtime on Friday. Offers of employment are contingent on successfully completing a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Requirements

Two or more years of related experience in industrial, mechanical, or machining product inspection is preferred.
CMM experience is required, with MCOSMOS or similar experience.
Ability to use inspection and measuring tools.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Nice To Haves

Experience with FaroArm is ideal but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform detailed inspections of machined parts, fabrications, and weldments to verify compliance with dimensions, tolerances, and quality standards.
Use inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
Follow written procedures and specifications to conduct inspections and accurately document results.
Inspect castings, forgings, and weldments using visual and liquid penetrant inspection methods.
Identify, document, and communicate non-conformities or deviations to appropriate personnel for resolution.
