About The Position

The CMM Inspector impacts product quality and operational efficiency by identifying defects, ensuring compliance with specifications, and contributing to continuous improvement. The role performs detailed inspections of materials, components, and finished products; documents results and reports non-conformances; and works with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve inspection processes. The position also involves operating and programming CMMs and supporting equipment maintenance, calibration, and preventive upkeep.

Requirements

• Experience in quality inspection within manufacturing or production environments.
• Strong knowledge of inspection techniques, quality standards, and measurement tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Proficiency with inspection equipment and quality management systems.
• Proficiency operating and programming CMMs.
• Software experience with LK-DMIS and/or PC-DMIS.
• Must be a U.S. Person: a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or person with protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

Nice To Haves

• Relevant technical certification or diploma in quality assurance or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in quality inspection or related roles.
• Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO or AS9100.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing per ASME Y14.4, specifications, and quality documentation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect materials, components, and finished products for compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Document inspection results and report non-conformances to appropriate departments for corrective action.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve inspection processes.
• Operate and program CMMs for quality inspections.
• Support inspection equipment maintenance, calibration, and preventive upkeep.
