Requirements
- Proven experience operating CMM equipment (PC-DMIS, Zeiss Calypso, or similar software preferred)
- Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
- Experience in a precision machining or manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with hand measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Knowledge of quality management systems and inspection documentation practices
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines in a team environment
Responsibilities
- Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect machined components and assemblies
- Interpret and verify parts against engineering drawings, GD&T callouts, and customer specifications
- Perform dimensional inspection and document measurement results with accuracy and thoroughness
- Identify non-conforming parts and communicate findings to production and engineering teams
- Maintain calibration records and ensure CMM equipment is properly maintained
- Support first article inspections (FAI) and in-process quality checks
- Collaborate with machinists and quality teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives
