The Cmas Kettle Driver assists with delivering and picking up kettles and stands, as well as other Christmas-related materials and personnel as needed. The role includes daily delivery and collection of kettles at designated locations, maintaining kettle security and related records, and filling in as a Bell Ringer when needed. The employee is also responsible for checking and maintaining the vehicle and submitting weekly inspection reports and mileage logs. The position requires irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and regular, punctual attendance. Work is performed outdoors and involves standing or sitting in one location for extended periods, frequent changes between standing and walking, and exposure to changing weather and conditions such as noise, dust, and dirt. The role involves frequent interruptions and in-person contact with people from diverse backgrounds, including people who may be angry, hostile, confused, or frustrated. The employee must acknowledge and not undermine The Salvation Army’s religious mission. A criminal history information check is required; convictions are considered in context and do not automatically preclude employment.
