Requirements

High School Diploma or GED (required)
Current NJDOHSS-approved Medication Aide certification (required)
Current and active New Jersey CMA certification (required)
Previous experience working in long-term care or assisted living setting (required)
Applicants for this position must be able to produce a negative drug test.
Applicants may be subject to a background check.
Employees in this position must be able to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position.

Responsibilities

Safely assist with medication administration in accordance with state regulations, community policies, and delegated responsibilities
Observe residents and promptly communicate medication-related concerns, questions, or changes in condition to the nursing team
Maintain accurate medication records and documentation to support resident care and regulatory compliance
Foster positive communication with residents, families, and team members to support quality care and resident well-being
Receive, organize, and properly store pharmacy deliveries and medication supplies according to established procedures
Assist with wellness-related tasks such as obtaining vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, and other approved support services as directed
Support residents in the Assisted Living community by promoting comfort, independence, and a positive daily experience
