About The Position
The CMA provides a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, advanced practice provider (APP), or registered nurse, in accordance with established guidelines and standards.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program, or, in lieu of a formal education program, one year of medical assistant or related clinical experience.
- No experience is required, or, in lieu of the required degree, one year of medical assistant or related clinical experience.
- Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification is required.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized certifying organization, or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)-NCTT certification, is required.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
