About The Position

Maple Lawn Manor in Hydro, OK is seeking a CMA! PTO and Benefits available for Full Time employees.

Requirements

  • Current Active State Certification CNA and CMA
  • Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
  • Knowledge of relevant nursing care
  • Friendly and professional bedside manner
  • Maintain current CPR certification
  • Multi-tasking skills
  • Effective oral, written, and reading communication skills
  • Understands legal implications of patient care

Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed staff in administering non-parental medication, including controlled substances.
  • Administer treatments as prescribed by physicians in accordance with facility policies.
  • Function as a nursing assistant when instructed to do so by the Director of Nursing and/or Nurse Manager.
  • Complete administrative work as required.
  • Maintain knowledge of equipment set-up, maintenance, and use.
  • Report observations to licensed personnel.
  • Maintain resident care supplies, equipment, and environment.
  • Maintain general knowledge of the effects and side effects of drugs commonly used and those they are permitted to administer and principles, procedures and practices regarding drug administration.
  • Sign for all oral and topical medications she/he has administered.
  • Assist with the provision of the care to residents
