About The Position

The Iowa Clinic is a locally owned and physician-led healthcare provider in Central Iowa, committed to exceptional care, compassion, and collaboration. They seek individuals who love their work and colleagues. This Float CMA/LPN/RN position in North Waukee Family Medicine involves providing professional nursing services for patients of assigned physicians and APPs, following established nursing practice standards and medical office hospital procedures. The role includes comprehensive patient assessments, rooming patients, taking vitals, assisting providers with triage, identifying nursing diagnoses, formulating initial care plans, and returning patient calls. The clinic emphasizes spending quality time with patients and fostering a positive team environment through activities and volunteer opportunities. Working hours are 8:00am–4:30pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with a half day on Wednesday from 8:00am–12:30pm, with no night shifts.

Requirements

Ability to assist providers in professional manner
Iowa RN license, CMA or LPN License required

Responsibilities

Provides professional nursing services for patients of assigned physicians and APP, following established nursing practice standards and medical office hospital procedures
Conducts comprehensive assessments of patient's care needs
Room patients and take vitals
Assists provider(s) with patient triage, identifies nursing diagnoses or problem lists and formulates an initial plan of care based on assessment data
Spend enough time with your patients to listen to them and get to know them
Participate in a department potluck or team building activity over lunch
