About The Position

A typical day for clinical staff involves arriving in the morning for standard clinic hours, providing professional nursing services to patients of assigned physicians, following established nursing practice standards and medical office hospital procedures. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments of patient care needs, assisting providers with patient triage, identifying nursing diagnoses or problem lists, and formulating initial plans of care based on assessment data. The role emphasizes spending quality time with patients, participating in team activities, engaging with internal communications for volunteer opportunities, and returning patient calls to ensure they feel valued. The workday concludes in the evening, adhering to standard clinic hours with no night shifts.

Requirements

A desire to find a meaningful, fulfilling career
Knowledge of nursing techniques, procedures, medical diagnoses and treatments
Exceptional patient skills
The ability to prepare and maintain records
Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
A positive and team-oriented attitude
Ability to assist physicians in professional manner
Must be licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Iowa or Certified as a Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

Provides professional nursing services for patients of assigned physician(s) following established nursing practice standards and medical office hospital procedures
Conducts comprehensive assessments of patient's care needs
Assists provider(s) with patient triage, identifies nursing diagnoses or problem lists and formulates an initial plan of care based on assessment data
Spend enough time with your patients to listen to them and get to know them
Participate in a department potluck or team building activity over lunch
