Travel is required between the following clinic locations: 7001 Granbury Rd Fort Worth, 76123; 9655 Red Dirt Rd Fort Worth, Tx 76123; 4901 S Collins St Arlington, Tx 76018; 902 W Randol Mill Rd -Ste, 150 Arlington, TX 76012; 400 W Arbrook Blvd - Ste 100,101,240, & 300 Arlington, TX 76014. Work hours: Full Time (40 Hour) Day Shift; Monday through Friday (7:00A-5:00P); schedule varies based on individual clinic hours/needs. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (REQUIRED)
  • 1 year Medical Assistant experience within the last three years (REQUIRED)
  • CMA - Certified Medical Assistant upon hire (REQUIRED)
  • Successful completion of THPG Clinical Training (CT) educational program with demonstrated competency in required skills - within 90 days of job entry (REQUIRED)
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support Exception Quarterly 90 days upon hire (REQUIRED)

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of CMA experience (STRONGLY PREFERRED)
  • Bilingual - English/Spanish (PREFERRED)
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire (PREFERRED)

Responsibilities

  • Performs general patient care by following established standards and procedures.
  • Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider.
  • Obtains and records vital signs including, but not limited to: blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problem.
  • Administers ordered medications and/or vaccines via oral, injection, topical, rectal, ophthalmic, and/or inhalant administration.
  • May work in the front office as needed, as well as perform other duties as assigned by practice manager, more senior staff, or as requested by healthcare provider(s).
  • Ability to perform EKGs, draw blood, and administer injections as needed by assigned clinic.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to staff and patients.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of the meaning and use of medical terminology and abbreviations.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment and composure with the ability to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situations.
