About The Position

Parsons is seeking an experienced Security Cluster Manager to join Vaxcom Services LLC (a Parsons company) in Northern VA. This leadership role involves providing oversight, direction, and hands-on management to several sensitive sites in the northern VA area, focusing on protecting customer facilities, personnel, and operations. Leaders in this role are driven by performance excellence, personal integrity, and a commitment to the security mission.

Requirements

  • Must have an active and current TS/SCI with Polygraph at the time of application.
  • College/University degree or program certificate; OR ten (10) years related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five (5) years’ experience in either Law Enforcement, Department of Corrections, Federal/commercial security, or the United States Armed Forces.
  • Minimum of at least five (5) years’ experience in security management or program management, with a minimum of two (2) years in a supervisory role within the government contracting/security sector.
  • Must have at least one of the following: Experience in a State licensed security services occupation or be a current or former member (honorable discharge) of the United States Armed Forces.
  • Strong understanding of federal regulations, compliance requirements and security operations.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale security programs, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and experience with advanced security technologies.
  • Experience supporting government programs/contracts within the Intelligence Community (IC).
  • Demonstrated ability to interact professionally, effectively, and successfully with individuals at all levels of an organization, building strong relationships, and communicating with confidence and respect.
  • Experience in providing mentoring/coaching in order to improve performance of those you manage/lead.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and a working knowledge of company policies and procedures, and how to interpret and implement/administer them.
  • Ability to successfully utilize Customer specific databases/tools.
  • Understanding of Employee (W-2) and Independent Contractor (1099) models.
  • Virginia DCJS Licensed or able to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight, direction, and hands-on leadership/management to several sensitive sites in the northern VA area.
  • Lead a large security team in a data center secure/classified environment according to Customer's expectations and Statement of Work/Work Order.
  • Oversee the execution of the program management plan and Statement of Work/Work Order.
  • Control access to the facility/site by monitoring surveillance equipment, while ensuring all personnel entering the site have the proper credentials.
  • Maintain or oversee maintenance of weekly operating schedules and provide after-hours emergency response as required.
  • Oversee response to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents.
  • Meet or exceed cost-saving/efficiency & operational goals while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to subordinates within work groups spread across several facilities/sites.
  • Monitor productivity and proficiency to ensure completed assignments meet Customer’s required quality standards, budgets, and procedures.
  • Participate in interview and selection processes as needed.
  • Maintain clear and concise work standards and goals, and provide training and development utilizing coaching and counseling.
  • Ensure assigned personnel are thoroughly trained in and observe all safety measures related to their work area according to Customer requirements.
  • Assume regular Security Officer roles and responsibilities when appropriate.
  • Facilitate communication and act as point of contact for security matters at several locations/sites, responsible for coordinating communication between on-site security personnel, program management office (PMO) and Customer.
  • Ensure compliance with security protocols by actively monitoring site conditions, identifying potential risks, and facilitating timely responses to security incidents.
  • Build, improve, and maintain Customer/stakeholder relationships.
  • Communicate and implement metrics with the Customer, including the compilation of all data for QBRs.
  • Work with the team to review various records/processes and reporting deviations to the Customer.
  • Develop/maintain operational procedures so that valid location/site-specific operations and Post Orders are always available for emergency reference by vendor personnel.
  • Oversee the tracking of broken device repairs; manage a Remedy Tracking System ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Track alarm violations and manage/complete the reporting to the Customer.
  • Oversee the management of uniforms, equipment, supplies, and vehicles utilized at all facilities/sites.
  • Travel between facilities/sites as needed, including for meetings outside of the Cluster.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
