This role involves taking food and beverage orders and efficiently delivering items to dining room guests. The position requires prompt and warm greeting of guests, efficient order taking, and prompt and professional delivery of food while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards. The server must demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients, advise guests on appropriate combinations, and accommodate reasonable requests. Communication with back-of-the-house staff is essential for correct order delivery and special requests. The role also includes collecting tickets, following proper cash-handling procedures, promoting a clean and safe environment, and maintaining sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal information. Addressing complaints and issues promptly, ensuring the dining room is properly set up and maintained, and operating various equipment are also key responsibilities. Collaboration with other departments for special events and functions is expected.
