Clubhouse Support Staff - Tradewinds
About The Position
Open Sky's Clubhouses are a member of the Massachusetts Clubhouse Coalition, an organization comprising 33 clubhouses throughout the Commonwealth and is a community dedicated to the rehabilitation of adults recovering from mental illness. Through a variety of meaningful and engaging tasks, members have the ability to develop or refresh employment skills, explore educational opportunities, and participate in social activities. The Clubhouse Support Staff facilitate participation for all aspects of the Clubhouse among members, including Work Ordered Day, Employment, Supported Education, and Social Program. They also lead activities and encourage active participation among members, assist members in finding meaningful employment and support individuals as they learn new skills and connect to the community.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, required.
- Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record, required.
- Reliability, willingness to learn, and being open to new opportunities.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with individuals living with persistent mental health conditions, co-occurring disorders and/or lived experience, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Will be trained on and will uphold the philosophy and concepts of the Fountain House Model.
- Assist members in accessing transportation and/or provide needed transportation.
- Coordinate operational activities in the unit including member recruitment, scheduling, cleaning, maintenance.
- Market the Clubhouse to inactive members, businesses, and other community members.
