About The Position

A Clubhouse Landscape Groundskeeper maintains the aesthetic appeal, cleanliness, and horticultural health of a club’s exterior. Primary duties include mowing turf, pruning shrubbery, managing flower beds, and ensuring pathways are clear of debris. The role requires operating landscaping machinery and performing manual labor in varying weather conditions.

Requirements

  • High physical stamina with the ability to bend, lift up to 50lbs unassisted, walk, and stand for 6-8 hours daily.
  • Ability to work outdoors in extreme summer heat and other challenging weather conditions.
  • Basic knowledge of proper pruning and planting techniques.
  • Safely operate powered equipment including riding/push mowers, string trimmers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, and leaf blowers.
  • Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides according to club standards and safety regulations.
  • Routine cleaning and maintenance of landscaping tools.

Responsibilities

  • Mow, edge, and trim lawns and gardens.
  • Prune and shape shrubs, hedges, and trees.
  • Plant, transplant, and deadhead seasonal flowers.
  • Daily blowing and sweeping of walkways, patios, and parking lots.
  • Empty and clean outdoor trash receptacles.
  • Monitor irrigation systems, perform minor head repairs, and hand-water high-visibility or newly planted areas.
  • Clear downed limbs, monitor for potential hazards on campus, and ensure safety protocols are followed.
