About The Position

Cobblestone Golf Club is seeking a Clubhouse Maintenance Assistant to join their team. This position will be responsible for maintaining clean, functional areas throughout the Club for use by members, their guests, and fellow employees. This position supports the Facilities Maintenance Director in the daily operation, upkeep, and overall appearance of the facility. The role combines hands-on housekeeping responsibilities with general maintenance assistance to ensure the property remains clean, safe, and well-maintained at all times during assigned shifts. Cobblestone Golf Club is a McConnell Golf Property.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and talk or hear.
  • Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Electrical certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Facilities Maintenance Director with routine maintenance tasks and work orders
  • Help with inspections of building systems, grounds, and equipment
  • Report maintenance issues promptly and assist with basic repairs when needed
  • Support setup and breakdown for events or special facility needs
  • Maintain cleanliness of clubhouse, restrooms, offices, locker rooms, and common areas
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and sanitizing surfaces
  • Restock supplies (paper goods, soap, etc.) throughout the facility
  • Ensure all public-facing areas remain neat, presentable, and guest-ready at all times
  • Address cleaning needs as they arise throughout the shift (not just scheduled cleaning rounds)
  • Work cooperatively with maintenance and operations staff as part of a team
  • Maintain a proactive approach to cleanliness and facility appearance
  • Follow safety procedures and report hazards immediately
  • Provide a high level of service and attention to detail in a hospitality environment
