About The Position

Are you passionate about developing student-athletes, fostering teamwork, and creating a positive competitive environment? We are seeking a dedicated Club Sports Coach to lead, mentor, and inspire student-athletes while supporting the growth and success of our Club Sports program. In this role, you will provide coaching, instruction, and leadership both on and off the field of play. You will help student-athletes develop their skills, promote sportsmanship and personal growth, assist with recruiting efforts, and ensure compliance with university, league, and governing body regulations. The ideal candidate is a knowledgeable coach, strong communicator, and positive role model who is committed to student success and athletic excellence. Requirements

1 years’ work experience in a similar capacity.
Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record and occasionally operates University vehicles.
CPR, First Aid and Coaches’ Safety Training certifications required; AED training preferred.
Must perform duties which require irregular hours, out of town and/or overnight travel.
Must be able to pass a background investigation
Fundamentals of game rules, regulations, and officiating
Sport specific game and growth development strategy.
University, NCAA and league specific rules and regulations.
MS Office Suite software

Responsibilities

Ensure all aspects of Club Sports athletic programs comply with University standards and conference and national affiliation rules and regulations. Identify potential risk and helps in establishing criteria and plans for correction.
Coach, counsel, advise and mentor student athletes.
Work in association with the Club Sports Director and ensure the proper and student-athlete certifications as required by NCAA and University guidelines.
Explain and demonstrate the principles, techniques, and methods of regulating movement of the human body, kinesiology, biomechanics, etc. to achieve proficiency in the assigned activity or sport.
Observe students during practice to encourage good athletic skills and provide guidance for improvements. Assess student-athlete capabilities. Explain and demonstrate use of apparatus and equipment.
Promote good sportsmanship behavior and enforces discipline, establish and oversee appropriate penalties for breach of standards by members of the team according to Club Sports Student Handbook.
Manage student-athlete on and off-campus recruiting programs.
Assist in organizing competitions and tournaments.
Assist and/or executes program development, develops strategies for competitions and enrollment growth expectations.
Assist in implementing registration, payments and medical clearance compliance prior to student participation.
Other duties as assigned.
