About The Position

This position provides support as directed by a designated supervisor within the Club Sports department. The role involves managing and overseeing staff, assigning duties, creating schedules, and ensuring accountability. Additionally, the worker will handle concessions during needed times throughout the year, stay updated on emerging technologies and industry benchmarks, and work effectively as a team member to enhance Club Sports programs and uphold the mission and values of Club Sports. The position requires a flexible attitude and work ethic for both team and individual tasks. Additional information on Work study may be found here.

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree, with a concentration in Business Development, Education, Sports Administration.
  • 1 + years in a office environment functioning.
  • Accepted into, or currently enrolled in a Liberty master’s program.
  • Strong experience required in academic development with knowledge of a variety of sports teams functional requirements.
  • Well-developed communications skills both verbally and written.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well-articulated information.
  • Ability to understand, speak, and write English to convey messages and correspond articulately and professionally.
  • Possess public communication skills that allow for a professional representation of Liberty University.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature.
  • Proof of a valid driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, LU Driving Approval, and liability insurance is required when driving in the performance of the employee’s position.

Responsibilities

  • Work Concessions dates during needed times throughout the year.
  • Remains abreast of existing and emerging technologies, processes, products, services and leading industry performance benchmarks.
  • Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission.
  • Work to enhance the Club Sports programs and uphold the mission and values of Club Sports.
  • Complete required trainings as needed: SafeSport, Title IX, Clery Act, IT Security training, etc.
