About The Position

Club Leaders enrich the culture of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School by offering an opportunity for students to grow in an extracurricular area of interest, such as music, theater, chess, art, etc. The Club Coordinator fulfills the mission of the Catholic school by initiating, developing, and administering the program in a particular field of interest/expertise that aligns with the school mission.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (minimum); College degree preferred
  • Demonstrated ability in area of focus for specific club
  • Prior teaching experience preferred
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid driver license
  • Valid vehicle insurance
  • Current CPR certification and First Aid training, or the ability to obtain such upon hiring, preferred
  • Must pass Archdiocesan Safe Environment Requirements and background screening
  • Must pass Texas DPS Fingerprint-based Applicant Clearinghouse screening
  • Must pass the Do Not Hire Registry background screening
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team
  • Must have good written and verbal skills
  • Must have good critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • College degree preferred
  • Prior teaching experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school
  • Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church
  • Supports and adheres to the Religious Standards for Catholic School Employees and policies and procedures of the school and Archdiocese
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding school matters
  • Design and implement club activities for 10-15 sessions per semester-long session
  • Use a variety of instructional techniques to meet the needs and improve the abilities of students in the given activity
  • Work with other members of school staff to plan and put in place instructional goals and objectives to ensure the overall development of students in the program
  • Maintain an atmosphere of joyful order throughout club activities
  • Communicate effectively with students and parents
  • Manage equipment related to club activities
