About The Position

The Club Attendant helps drive member satisfaction by providing exceptional customer service and performing maintenance and cleaning tasks to keep the facility healthy, clean, and orderly. The role works with the Facilities Technician and reports to the General Manager, regularly interacting with club management, team members, and members. Travel between clubs may be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months of janitorial experience.
• Knowledge of cleaning practices and procedures.
• Ability to understand and follow written instructions.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
• Ability to stand, walk, and use hands and arms regularly; frequently climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to communicate by telephone with internal and external members.
• Ability to use cleaning chemicals, ladders, and cleaning utensils.
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts; the noise level is occasionally loud.
• Travel between clubs may be required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and dust walls, mirrors, countertops, glass, and windows.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors throughout the club, including locker rooms, weight and cardio areas, offices, hallways, and stairs.
• Clean and dust weight and cardio equipment.
• Restock supplies and empty garbage and recycling containers.
• Complete assigned daily and weekly scopes of work and special cleaning projects.
• Clean and maintain wet areas where applicable, including pool decks, pools, steam rooms, and saunas; conduct regular pool chemical testing where applicable.
• Perform minor cosmetic equipment repairs, such as rust removal, touch-up painting, and relabeling.
• Partner with the Facilities Technician on equipment cleaning described in the preventative maintenance guide.
• Perform minor painting as approved or directed by the General Manager and Facilities Technician.
• Use janitorial supplies according to product labels and club manuals.
• Report newly identified facility maintenance issues through Service Channel.
• Report member complaints to the General Manager.
