About The Position

Hope Valley Country Club, located in Durham, North Carolina, and managed by Bobby Jones Links, was founded in 1926. Hope Valley is an elite private club featuring a classic Donald Ross designed golf course, state-of-the-art tennis facility, resort-style pool complex, and a spacious, welcoming clubhouse offering its members first-class recreation, dining, and programming. Hope Valley is ideally situated in the heart of one of Southeast’s most vibrant, exciting areas. Hope Valley Country Club is hiring for a Club Accountant. The primary responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of the club’s annual budget and financials, preparing the daily close out and postings in the point of sales system, and being responsible for the daily club deposit and depositing it into the bank. The role also involves collecting all club receivables and processing payables in accordance with Bobby Jones Links standards, ensuring all end of month reporting is accurate and forwarding it to the Bobby Jones Links Accounting team. The Club Accountant is responsible for member billing and meeting with members regarding any billing disputes. Additionally, the role manages all office equipment, processes COD payments, assists the GM with the Associate onboarding process, and assists the Support Center with obtaining information or data as requested. The position requires maintaining necessary procedures for confidentiality relating to club and employee issues, safeguarding all funds in bank accounts, assuring proper and correct deposit of revenues, and supervising the drawing of all checks.

Responsibilities

Assists in the preparation of the club’s annual budget and financials.
Prepares the daily close out and postings in the point of sales system.
Responsible for doing the daily club deposit and depositing it into the bank.
Collects all club receivables and processes payables (in accordance with the Bobby Jones Links standards).
Ensures that all end of month reporting is accurate and forwards to the Bobby Jones Links Accounting team.
Is responsible for member billing and meets with members should there be any billing disputes.
Manages all office equipment including copiers, printers, and postage machines.
Processes COD payments.
Assists GM with Associate onboarding process.
Assists Support Center with obtaining information or data as requested.
Maintains necessary procedures for confidentiality relating to club and employee issues.
Safeguards all funds in bank accounts; assures that revenues are properly and correctly deposited and supervises the drawing of all checks.
